get well trevor

For those of you who don't already know, our good friend/rider/farmer that eats, sleeps, & breathes amurica, Trevor Rhoda, suffered a head injury last week at a late season snowboard gathering in Michigan. He has since been in the hospital in a medically induced coma due to a fractured skull. So far, even though he is not conscious yet, he has been showing great positive signs of recovery. He has been in stable condition ever since his surgery & is slowly being taken off of the paralytic medications. It may be a long road ahead, but Trevor is one of the toughest kids we know & he will surely power through this like a champ. We're not sure how exactly he'll be affected by the damage to his brain but personally I think he'll be back on the board in no time & be the same exact person we all know. All we can do right now is keep him in our thoughts & pray that everything is going to go back to normal. So if you know him, or even if you don't, take a minute of your day to send good vibes his way. He & I & all of us would really appreciate it! That's about all we can do at the moment but the immense amount of love that we've seen thus far has been truly amazing & it's exactly what he needs to get through this!

arizona

Trevor Rhoda, Parker Duke, & I set off on an AZ resort tour about 2 weeks ago since Utah wasn't doing so well & we wanted a change of scenery. We stopped at Sunrise Park Resort, Mount Lemmon Ski Valley, & Arizona Snowbowl for one day each in order to make this edit & did all driving within the same days, minus the long haul to/from SLC. Click here for the BOND blog post & enjoy the video below.

idaho

Now that I'm posting all Bond/Weekend related stuff on the Bond blog (www.bondsnowboarding.com) it's pretty painful to have to do it twice through two different blog hosts, so I'm just going to put the post links on here from now on. Check out the first one from our first backcountry trip of the year by clicking HERE.

dat da worst - trevor @ brighton

youdahoe.

First sled trip is officially under the belt. Got a few shots & some good filler.. might've gotten a lot more if it weren't for fog/clouds & almost every face being slednecked to hell, but oh well what can ya do. The smell of 2-stroke is back & now all we need is some snow, somewhere, anywhere.

All packed up & ready to go // Parker's tarp barely made it to Boise.

Back to this early schedule..

As cool as these trees may look, it's not good.

Oh what do ya know, the landing is highmarked.

They beat us to it. // signs of the northwest.

Pine.

Martin & Parker thinking about their lines.

It's a lot easier to sled when you can see the snow below you.

Screens of Trevor & Parker dropping away. // "the rockstar dude from forgetting sarah marshall."

Little bit of naptime before we head out for day 2.

Made it above the crap.

"Parked" sleds, vertically.

Martin patting it down.

Trevor's patchy beard almost touches his eyes! // More artsy dead trees.

Reflected Rhoda.

Parker & Trevor contemplating jokes & tricks.

HATE when this happens after building something under the sun.

Martin with some slashes/turns to a nice drop.

Sun goes down, we go home.

Long day at the office.

Sledding through dark fog is pretty creepy. // Delirious, good thing that's a wrap.

DECEMBER PHOTO MEGAPOST

It's always hard to stay on top of the blog game when you're in a robotic schedule of snowboard, eat, sleep, but I'm going to work on it from here on out. Anyways, these are some of my favorites from December.

Going through the freezer.. lacking snow.

Backyard lineup?

Fracture city.

Never been able to capture the amount of snow in the air like this before.

These signs are here for a reason people.. 2wd pickups don't cut it.

Hoar.

I didn't take this, but Ilya did a damn good job.

Getting pretty tired of the city looking like this.

Alex getting ready to drop..

.. onto these electric boxes..

.. that probably aren't safe to be around.

Silhouette of a Hammid.

FUNhat Drew.

Urban gappery.

2nd worst air in the nation.

DBL DOSE OF BRIGHTON

One new edit from the opening day of Great Western & one classic from three years ago brought back to life since YouTube took off the audio thanks to Warner.
