INTERNSHIP DAY 2
Before reading this post, here is a video for your enjoyment of what happens when an intern screws up:
After a good night's rest, another day began. This time it was a 4:45 wake up call for the intern.
Trevor was stoked I made him wake up this early when he could've slept in till 2 then played Halo 3 for a couple hours.
Not much light provided by Ski-Doo.
The shots were worth the wake up.
Make sure you stand downwind from the building process okay minion?
Dreaming about airtime..

INTERNSHIP DAY 1
Today was the intern's first day of training. I'm not going to give his name or anything, but we decided to start things off with a 6am departure.
Here is a photo of Trevor with the intern, otherwise known as "minion," or "slave." Doesn't he look happy?
Here is a photo of Ben displaying full concentration while fueling his snow vehicle.
Mostly cloudy with 60% chance of 2-4 inches?
The new snowfall amount was looking slim.. but ended up being more than we needed.
Here is another shot of the intern. He is caught mentally & physically preparing for his dragging initiation.
Instead of going to buy lunch & coffee, being that we were 20 miles out there, the intern was ordered to cut & stack blocks. He then was required to wait for maneuvers to be landed. Shortly thereafter, he landed a cork 5, not to mention first try, displaying quite rapid progress in his training. His status as an intern was lifted, but this only lasted all of about 5 minutes until he ate shit 4 times in a row. Maybe next time minion, maybe next time.
Don't think this road will be drivable for a bit..
Stay tuned tomorrow for internship day 2..

SNOWPEDS
Sledding opens up a whole new world of opportunities as compared to hiking. Makes life a lot easier to get to spots but can be a major pain in our assholes: $$ for gas, $$ for oil, shredded belts, shattered windshields, totaled due to fire, totaled due to seizure, rolling down the hill, crashing into trees, etc.
Too bad sleds don't run on veggie oil. 91 is too expensive, what happened to $.99/gallon?
Trevor before...
Trevor's sled after.
Made it about 20 feet on the whips before they sank trying to get up this hill of waist deep. Guess that's what a 162 track is for.
First sunny day in a longggg time = major sunburn.
Alex laying it out.
After about 2 months of snow & no sun, there's sun & heat.
Being the first out is nice. Getting dumped on after seeing the skies like this is not.
Matty P catchin some air.
Cruised up to the spot afterwards one day.. the rail is somewhere there under a lot of feet of snow, the 15 foot tube is sticking up about 3 feet as you can see, & the 10 foot dead tree is nowhere in sight. Looks like we'll be up there for a while this spring/summer.
